Integrated desulfurization and decarbonization systems>>
IMO preliminary strategy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from ships proposes that the total GHG emissions will be reduced by at least 50% by 2050 compared to 2008, and the carbon intensity of international shipping (the average level of the shipping industry rather than individual ships) will be reduced by at least 40% by 2030 compared to 2008, striving to reduce it by 70% by 2050.
Attained EEDI:The actual EEDI value of individual ships
Required EEDI:The maximum Attained EEDI value allowed for specific ship types and sizes stipulated in Article 21 of Chapter 4 of MARPOL Annex VI: Required EEDI=(1 - X/100)× RLV;
Requirements fo
1.The desulfurized exhaust gas enters the absorption tower, in which the CO2 is absorbed by the absorbent;
2.The absorbent after absorbing CO2 can be separated in the separation tower, after which the absorbent can be recycled;
3.The separated CO2 shall be captured and liquefied for storage.
